Debate: Are you TRULY “Natural”?
May 30, 2014
Ok, so I have seen a few debates on what it means to be “truly natural,” where women have declared that if you use any chemical on your head, than you are no longer natural, including hair color.
Now, I’m now going to get into that debate, but I’m going to bring up another one.
Ladies, how many of your worry about the chemicals you’re putting on your heads MORE than the chemicals you are putting into your bodies?
I was guilty and convicted of this. I started using all natural products for my hair: coconut oil, shea butter, apple cidar vinegar, etc. But then I would eat whatever I wanted, filled with a lot of ingredients that I didn’t know couldn’t even pronounce.
A lot of the foods available today, especially convenience foods, are chock full of preservatives and chemicals that affect not only our hair, but our overall health.
So, here’s some tuff love: If you’re still eating a lot of crap, but slathering coconut oil on your head and popping hair vitamins, you’re going to get nowhere. Fast.
Don’t just love your hair, love you whole body! Take care of it, because it’s the only one you’re going to get!
I’m not perfect. I don’t eat a 100% all-natural, straight-up vegan diet. But, I am making smart food choices and I try to choose the best foods for my overall health. As I do, I notice that I feel better and I look better too!
Ladies, what do you think? I want to hear from you!
